{"id":154,"date":"2021-05-31T22:53:58","date_gmt":"2021-06-01T01:53:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nutme.cl\/?p=154"},"modified":"2021-06-10T10:14:10","modified_gmt":"2021-06-10T13:14:10","slug":"segunda-incursion-de-buceo-en-las-cruces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nutme.cl\/en\/2021\/05\/31\/segunda-incursion-de-buceo-en-las-cruces\/","title":{"rendered":"Second expedition in Las Cruces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The exploration of mesophotic reefs continues! <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday the 27th of May, Alejandro P\u00e9rez Matus, Rodrigo Alarc\u00f3n Ireland and Vladimir Garmendia Fern\u00e1ndez carried out a second incursion in Las Cruces, Region of Valpara\u00edso, to find more locations and suitable places for future research. <\/p>\n<p>On the first dive, the researchers found a rocky platform located at ca. 45 meters depth, where they observed several round rocks on the seafloor, the presence of sand and a moderate slope. They found a particular diversity of fish and invertebrates and an ideal place to deploy ARMS units (Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structures) in future dives.
